What are the different equipment installed inside LNG ship cargo tanks ❓

Each LNG cargo tank contains :

  • Two 2️⃣ main cargo pumps for discharging.

  • One filling line.

  • Emergency cargo pump column (Membrane type only).

  • One 1️⃣ Spray/Stripping pump which is used for :

- Cooling down cargo tanks/ship's lines/shore arms.

- Creating forced boil off.

- Gassing up

- Cooling down vapour gas to Diesel Engines (Before LDC) for DFDE ships
