Alexandroupolis terminal receives sixth 6️⃣ US LNG cargo
The LNG carrier Al Qaiyyah 🚢 has successfully unloaded at the Alexandroupolis LNG Terminal in Greece
This marks the sixth US-origin LNG cargo delivered to the Alexandroupolis LNG Terminal since the start of its commercial operation, and the second 2️⃣ by Metlen Energy & Metals on behalf of Bulgargaz, supporting the energy markets of Greece and Bulgaria.

Morocco gets closer to creating $1 billion LNG-to-Power hub 🔥

Wärtsilä has landed a multi-year lifecycle agreement 🤝 for 12 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers (LNGC) with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL).

Eni has attended the inauguration ceremony South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) held for its second floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) unit 🎊, which will be deployed in the supergiant Rovuma basin off the coast of Mozambique, Africa.
This allows the exploration of natural gas resources from the Coral Eocene 441 deposit in Area 4 concession 💭, covering the Coral Sul/South FLNG facility, the approved second FLNG development, and the Rovuma LNG onshore facilities 🚢.

Eastern Pacific Shipping has moved to expand its LNG footprint, placing an order for two 175,000 cu m 💧 LNG carrier newbuildings as it scales up its gas shipping business.
The Singapore-based owner has contracted the pair at Jiangnan Shipyard for delivery in 2028 🎊, marking EPS’ first LNG carrier newbuilding order in China.

Thailand’s Gulf Development Public Company has signed on the dotted line 🤝 with France’s Engie to secure a multi-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply for multiple power plants.
The Thai player’s wholly owned subsidiary has entered into a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Engie for the import of LNG to be supplied to power plants 🏭 under the company’s umbrella for a period of 15 years. This will enable a supply volume of up to 0.8 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) 💧, with deliveries scheduled to start from January 1, 2028.

Cool Company has completed its long-trailed take-private deal 🤝, bringing an end to the LNG carrier owner’s run as a publicly listed company.
CoolCo survives the merger as the continuing entity but is now wholly owned by EPS and its subsidiaries 🎯.
CoolCo operates a fleet of LNG carriers 🚢 and has been an active participant in the long-term charter market in recent years.

JERA and Woodside Energy have finalized an agreement 🤝 to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the Japanese power utility in the winter months for five years.
The companies already have an existing contract under which Woodside is to deliver 400,000 metric tons a year of LNG 💧 to Japan.
Under the new deal, Woodside will deliver the volumes on an ex-ship basis between the months of December and February from 2027. Three cargoes totaling about 200,000 metric tons 💧 will be delivered per year.

RWE Supply & Trading has signed a 20-year sales and purchase agreement 🤝 with Texas LNG Brownsville, part of Glenfarne Group, for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States.
Under the agreement, RWE will purchase one million tonnes of LNG per year 💧, equivalent to about 13 cargoes annually or around 1.4 billion cubic metres of natural gas. Deliveries will be supplied from the Texas LNG export facility, which Glenfarne plans to construct at the Port of Brownsville in Texas 🏭.
The LNG volumes can be shipped by RWE to destinations in Europe and worldwide. Commissioning of the facility is expected to begin in 2030 🎊.

ADNOC Gas has signed a long-term liquefied natural gas sales and purchase agreement 🤝 with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, strengthening energy ties between the UAE and India as Asian LNG demand continues to grow 📈.
The 10-year agreement is valued at approximately💰3 billion and covers the supply of 0.5 million tonnes per year of LNG 💧.
Deliveries will be sourced from ADNOC Gas’ Das Island liquefaction facility 🏭, one of the world’s longest-operating LNG plants.

Naturgy and Enagás have announced a partnership 🤝 to develop a new LNG bunker vessel which is scheduled to enter service in 2028 🎊, when it will be chartered to Naturgy under a long-term agreement.
The vessel, to be named Mistral LNG, will have a cargo capacity of 18,900 m³ 💧 and will primarily operate in the Iberian Peninsula, the Strait of Gibraltar and the Canary Islands.
The new ship will become Enagas’s fourth 4️⃣ vessel in its LNG bunker fleet, joining Levante LNG, Alisios LNG and Haugesund Knutsen.

Japan’s shipping giant K Line continues to expand its fleet of LNG dual-fuel vessels with the delivery of another LNG-powered pure car and truck carrier (PCTC).
The 7,000-ceu Undine Highway built by Imabari Shipbuilding claims that using LNG fuel💧is expected to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) by 25 percent to 30 percent and emissions of sulfur oxides (SOx), which cause air pollution, by almost 100 percent.
BOG (boil-off gas) is always generated from the LNG fuel tank, and the vessel can use the generated BOG for generators and boilers 🔥.
