The Secondary barrier of an LNG ship's cargo tank is provided with instrumentation that detects 🎯when the Primary barrier has failed to be liquid-tight at any location or when the liquid cargo is in contact with the Secondary barrier at any location.

This instrumentation consists of 👇

Membrane type

  • Gas detecting devices

  • Temperature sensors.

Moss type

  • Gas detecting device

  • Liquid level indicator

  • Temperature sensor.
