Welcome back to LNG4U.
It was another busy week. Qatar kept signing for US cargoes, new terminals moved forward in Texas and Germany, and the price of a new LNG carrier started to come down.
I went through the news for you and kept only what matters. Here is what happened across the industry.

Before an LNG carrier warms up her tanks, every last drop of cargo has to come out. Here's how it's done on a membrane ship. ⚓
1️⃣ With the terminal's permission, trim her by the stern, normally about 2.5 m, and keep her upright. The liquid runs aft to the pump well.
2️⃣ Start the spray pumps early. At very low tank levels they can struggle to start.
3️⃣ When a pump loses suction, stop it and move to the next tank. Running a cargo or spray pump with broken flow for long damages it.
4️⃣ Once all pumpable cargo is stripped ashore, drain the lines back to the nominated drain tank.
Only then does the warm-up begin.
What stern trim does your terminal allow for stripping?
