The LNG (Methane) is lighter than the Ambient Air, but is heavier when its temperature is below - 110°C.

Proceed with caution to avoid any asphyxia if you have any LNG leak or spillage 💧, the NG stays on deck 💭 for a while before disappearing in the high Air ⬆.

Shell and Sunlink Energies and Resources have taken a final investment decision (FID) 🤝 on an offshore gas project in the Gulf of Guinea that will feed a new processing train on one of the world’s largest LNG export facilities 💧.

Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Co expects the gas project to begin production before the end of this decade 📅 to feed a seventh train at the Nigeria LNG (NLNG) plant on Bonny Island.

Spanish gas grid operator Enagas is ready to ban Russian liquefied natural gas by 2027 if the EU brings forward its phase-out to that date.

The EU is negotiating legal proposals to end its Russian oil and gas imports by January 2028 🚨 and sanctions that would ban Russian LNG a year earlier.

Enagas requires shippers to report the origin of cargoes unloaded in Spain on its logistics platform 💻, where the information is cross-checked with cargo documentation and subject to customs checks.

The United Kingdom has sanctioned China’s Beihai LNG terminal 🚨 as part of a comprehensive package targeting Russia’s energy sector and its international enablers, marking a significant escalation in Western efforts to disrupt Russian liquefied natural gas exports that continue despite existing international sanctions.

The Beihai terminal, operated by state-owned PipeChina, emerged as a key destination for Russian LNG 💧 after receiving the first Arctic LNG 2 shipment on August 28 aboard the Arctic Mulan 🚢.

Since then, the terminal has received at least six 6️⃣ additional cargoes from Arctic LNG 2, which the UK previously sanctioned in February 2024 📅.

NextDecade Corporation has made a positive final investment decision (FID) 💵 on the fifth train at its liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project in Texas.

Since Train 5 will add 6 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) 💧 to the plant’s liquefaction capacity, the total expected LNG production capacity under construction at Rio Grande LNG will be approximately 30 mtpa 💧.

The train is expected to achieve a guaranteed substantial completion date and first commercial delivery (DFCD) in the first half of 2031 📅.

LNG Croatia, the operator of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal on Croatia’s island of Krk, said it aims to restart commercial operation of its floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) on October 26 📅 after the successfully completed EU-backed upgrade of the unit in Turkey.

The FSRU has successfully berthed at the Omisalj LNG Terminal on the Krk island 🚢 following the installation of a new regasification module and a five-year-class renewal at the Kuzey Star shipyard in Turkey 🏗.

BW Magna and BW ENN Snow Lotus performed a ship-to-ship (STS) operation 🚢 at Porto do Açu, Brazil.

This STS operation exemplifies teamwork across the LNG fleet and collaboration with 🤝 Gás Natural Açu (GNA), the charterer.

BW Magna is tailormade to Latin America’s biggest power project 💡, serving a long-term 23-year charter moored alongside Porto do Açu.

Since 1 July 2025, the purpose-built BW Magna has delivered regasified LNG to GNA II. Together, GNA II and its sister project GNA I generate enough energy to power 14 million homes ⚡.

Fixture numbers for LNG carriers are poised to set a new annual record in 2025 🏆 despite a slower third quarter, but charter rate levels continue this year’s weakness 📉.

Fixing activity in the July to end-September period was “a little subdued”, with just 88 short-term fixtures of less than 90 days concluded 📅.

This is down on the near-record 108 logged in the second quarter but roughly in line with the 85 logged in the same three months of last year 📈.

Russia has carried out its first ship-to-ship (STS) transfer of liquefied natural gas (LNG) 🥇 using so-called “shadow fleet” vessels, teaming up with a Chinese gas carrier.

Satellite images and partial AIS data suggest that the transfer took place off the coast of Malaysia on October 18, 2025 between 👉 the 170,471-cbm Perle and 👉 the 145,000-cbm CCH Gas.

The move marks a new phase in Russia’s efforts to move energy exports outside Western oversight and sanctions. Perle was carrying cargo from Gazprom’s Portovaya LNG plant in the Baltic Sea 🏭. The U.S. sanctioned the facility in January 2025 and Gazprom has since then been unable to find any foreign buyers for its supercooled gas.
